Surprisingly, Davante Adams started as a 94 overall in Madden NFL 21 but quickly rose to the 99 club after almost matching his career-high receiving yards and eclipsing his career-high touchdown record. His career-high 18 touchdowns last year put Adams at the top of the whole league, and his 1374 receiving yards slotted him comfortably in fifth place among his peers. The combination of these two factors meant that Adams was among one of themost improved wide receivers inMadden NFL 21, and helped him snag the coveted 99 rating. A quick glance at last year’s stats reveals a few other candidates for the 99 club like Tyreek Hill, who posted similar numbers on considerably fewer receptions.
Still, Adams’s Green Bay Packers may be in a bit of jeopardy, as talks with quarterback Aaron Rodgers have broken down multiple times over the summer with Rodgers desperate to be traded. Despitesimulations suggesting the Packers would be better offwithout Rodgers, losing one of the consensus best quarterbacks in the league would be a major hurdle to overcome for any organization. Luckily for Packers fans, sources close to Rodgers are now suggesting that he plans to return to the team. A situation that bodes well for the first confirmed member of the 99 club.
Madden NFL 22is scheduled to release on August 20 for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
