Eddie Brock is one of the more unintentionally comical characters inMarvel’s Midnight Suns. Acting as a villain for most of the game, his conversion from a dominated Venom to a helpful one doesn’t entirely get rid of the corruption in his personality that led him to become evil in the first place.

In light of this, it stands to reason that Eddie is quick to blame others for his own faults. This happens when his journal is “stolen” and The Hunter is tasked with finding it. Most of the time these missions have checkpoints butMarvel’s Midnight Sunsasks the player to figure out this mystery on their own.
Locating Eddie’s Journal
It isn’t long afteracquiring Eddie Brockthat he begins to show why his personality became easy for the symbiote to dominate. Eddie will start manipulating stories, following up on leads he makes up, and blaming others when they have doubts about his sources.

This culminates with Brock blaming a thief over the comms system of stealing his journal full of suspicious leads. He demands the contents be returned to him and completely unread. The game will have Charlie follow The Hunter to try and pick up on the scent.
Charlie isn’t very helpful and there aren’t many leads. Ultimately, it can be easier toconquer Venom’s challenge missionthan it is to find the notebook. Instead of wasting time searching all over the abbey or asking other heroes, make Eddie’s room the first stop.

Sure enough, he left his journal in his own room. He believes that the thief put it back to make him look foolish but, at this point, not even the charitable Hunter can give him a pass. Players who want to build a relationship with Brock should encourage him to follow up on these sketchy leads.
Marvel’s Midnight Sunsis available now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
