MobLandis officially coming back to Paramount+, but while that’s great news for viewers, it’s not all good for Tom Hardy’s fixer, Harry Da Souza.MobLandseason 1 endedin a perilous place for the character, who was accidentally stabbed by his wife, Jan (Joanne Froggatt).

That itself brought to a close a tumultuous season for Harry, whose work for the Harrigan family saw him have to kill multiple people, mount an international rescue mission, and court favors from a far more powerful (possible) criminal. It largely worked, of course, insofar as the Stevensons were defeated, but things are really just getting started for Harry heading intoMobLandseason 2.

Theseason 2 renewal ofMobLandmeansthe hit show will be continuing multiple storylines, with major things to come for the Harrigans. Conrad (Pierce Brosnan) and Maeve (Helen Mirren) will get out of prison, but face a battle with Kevin (Paddy Considine) over control of the family empire. However, there are even bigger things to deal with too.

Tom Hardy’s Harry Will Come Back In MobLand Season 2

Harry Did Not Die In The Season 1 Finale

MobLandseason 2 being renewed is the first step towards Hardy’s return, but there’s another matter to resolvetoo: is Harry dead? After being stabbed by Jan, we never get to see his fate, with the show closing out on him giving a mysterious smile.

Thankfully,MobLand’s co-creator Jez Butterworth confirmed Harry is still alive, and ready to do some ass-kicking. Though this was before season 2’s renewal, plans were already in place for a continuation, and Hardy is very much a big part of the story, soit’s fair to expect he’ll be back, healed-up, and once againMobLand’s main character and so often its voice of reason.

Harry Is Headed For Much Bigger Trouble In MobLand Season 2

The Harrigans Now Have A More Powerful Threat To Deal With

Harry may have taken a knife to the chest, but an even greater cause for concern came earlier in the season 1 finale, when he turned down Kat McAllister (Janet McTeer). It’s still unclear exactly what role Kat plays in the criminal world, and whether she’s the boss of a major gang, works for a government agency, or something else.

What is clear is that Kat is extremely powerful and dangerous, making the Harrigan family look like small fry.

What is clear is that Kat is extremely powerful and dangerous, makingthe Harrigan familylook like small fry. She has a global reach, seemingly unlimited resources, and now has her sights firmly trained on Harry and the Harrigans. She’s been scorned by the fixer and, well, hell hath no fury and all that. As well as patching up his rocky marriage, repairing his fractured relationship with his daughter, and trying to smooth out all the internal Harrigan family drama - which, oh yeah, includesEddie learning he’s Conrad’s son, not Kevin’s -Harry will have to continually look over his shoulder for what Kat might do.

MobLandseason 2 doesn’t have a release date, but a 2026 release on Paramount+ seems likely.

It’s a major threat to him, and to everything the Harrigans have built, especially if she starts coming after them more fiercely, whether that’s targeting their sources of income and control, or just their lives directly. The Stevensons were a test that the Harrigans survived, but this is another levelentirely.

How Harry Can Deal With The Kat Problem In MobLand Season 2

It’s Hard To Imagine Harry Losing

If there’s good news for Harry, it’s that he probably has to emerge victorious in some way because, well, he’s the main character. The Harrigan empire may well crumble over the long term, and Kat could be a part of that, since there’s a chance the endgame is Harry being freed from their clutches. But for himself and his own survival, while it’s difficult, it’s not hopeless. He’s shown himself to be as skilled, resourceful, and pragmatic as anyone in this world.

MobLandhas a 75% rating onRotten Tomatoes.

It’s not without question he could eventually leverage himself into a position whereby he and Kat reach a truce, and it’s not impossible that he takes her out if necessary, though that’s obviously a more difficult prospect. There are a lot of unknowns heading intoMobLandseason 2, but in a way, it feels like the story is just getting started. The stakes are higher than ever, and that should make it more thrilling when Hardy’s Harry eventually comes back to Paramount+.
