While some online games take a few weeks before they start releasing their special events,Monster Hunter Worldhas already launched its special PS4-exclusiveHorizon: Zero Dawnquest. Completing this quest will net players some unique rewards for their efforts, including someWatcher armor for their Palico, so it’s certainly worth taking the time to complete.

To start theHorizon: Zero Dawnquest inMonster Hunter World, the first step is making sure your Hunter Rank is 6 or higher. This means that players can’t complete this event right out of the gate, and will instead need to complete other hunts and missions to level up before they attempt it.

Once that prerequisite is fulfilled, speak with the handler at HQ. Then go down to Events and choose the event called Lessons of the Wild. This quest takes place in the arena, and tasks players with slaying eight Barnos, which are the flying enemies that can be spotted in many different areas of the game. Kill seven Barnos, and then turn your attention to the other monster in the arena. Kill it (or at least fight it for awhile), and then two more Barnos will spawn in. Kill them as well and the Watcher Lens crafting item will be your reward.

After that, it’s a simple matter of crafting theHorizon: Zero Dawngear for the Palico at the Smithy. At the time of this writing, the only Watcher gear players can craft is a weapon and armor for the Palico, but moreHorizon: Zero Dawngear is expected to be added soon, including Aloy-themed armor for the player character.

Of course,Horizon: Zero Dawnisn’t the only crossover event planned forMonster Hunter World. As announced last month, the game will also haveMega Man armorfor players to unlock for their Palico at some point in the future, which will likely require its own special event quest as well.

Unlike this PS4-exclusiveHorizon: Zero Dawnquest, the Mega Man events should be available to allMonster Hunter Worldplayers. Capcom should release more information on the matter as we lead up to the start of the event in the coming weeks.

Monster Hunter Worldis available now for PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC release planned for later this year.
