As previously teased,Mortal Kombat 1pulled up to Summer Game Fest with a first look at its gameplay, confirming a new handful of characters for its roster. As many know,Mortal Kombat 1takes place in a new universe created by Fire God Liu Kang, which seemed oddly at peace before some new war arrived at its doorstep. For example, it seems Scorpion and Sub-Zero’s long-standing rivalry has been squashed.
This new trailer gives fans a look at variousMortal Kombat 1gameplay systems, including fatalities, the Kameo Fighter system, and much, much more. The Kameo Fighter system is essentially a second character selection screen that allows players to combine the combat maneuvers between teams. Furthermore, while some characters are just Kameo Fighters, some characters will appear on the base roster. As expected, the combat is as brutal as any game prior, with plenty of blood spilled, bones broken, and insane abilities shown off.
