It has been two months since Nightwolf was announced as aMortal Kombat 11DLC character, and details about this post-launch fighter still remain at a minimum. While fans have gotten a look at the character, by way of a briefMortal Kombat 11Nightwolf teaser, information on his moveset and official release date has not been revealed. However, it seems that this relative silence about Nightwolf may be about to finally come to an end.
Earlier today,Mortal Kombat 11director and series co-creator Ed Boon took to Twitter, stating, “Fingers krossed on Thursday we should be sending The Wolf.” Despite the fact that Boon’s tweet does not specify an exact Thursday or the meaning of the word “sending,” the tweet does seem to suggest that details on the forthcomingMK 11DLC character Nightwolf will be released on August 1. That is, if everything goes according to plan.

To note, there could be some chance that Boon is implying that Nightwolf will release on Thursday, but that seems quite unlikely considering that in-combat footage of the character is still yet to be seen. While not impossible, such a release would certainly be a bit unprecedented.
With respect to when Nightwolf will be available toMortal Kombat 11fans, that detail could certainly be part of the information that Boon is suggesting will come later this week. That said, aMortal Kombat 11Nightwolf release date leakoccurred last week, and if it proves accurate, players can look forward to welcoming him to theMK11roster in mid-August. As was the case with Shang Tsung, Kombat Pack owners will very likely get access to Nightwolf first.
Ever since theMortal Kombat 11Nightwolf announcement, Boon has been teasing the character on his Twitter, sharing two images and the aforementionedMK11Nightwolf video clip. This teasing, when coupled with the absence of much concrete information, has left some fans frustrated, but this frustration may be about to subside if more details about Nightwolf truly are revealed on Thursday.
Mortal Kombat 11is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version in development.
