According to theHollywoodReporter, Taslim’s deal is the first to close for the forthcomingMortal Kombatfilm, which means that there is certain to be a great deal more casting to be done before shooting begins later this year. To note, it is said that the shoot for theMortal Kombatmovie will take place in southern Australia.

Taslim’s previous credits includeThe Raid,Fast & Furious 6, andStar Trek Beyond, among other roles in TV and movies. Additionally, he is a martial artist who was part of Indonesia’s national Judo team.
