So far inOne World Under Doom, Doctor Doom has beaten a coalition of the Avengers and the world’s villains, as well as an all-out attack by the interdimensional warlord Dormammu. If Reed Richards' new Scientist Supreme title and abilities can equal this, it’s the biggest upgrade we’ve seen from the Fantastic Four’s longtime leader.

Reed Richards Takes the ‘Scientist Supreme’ Title from a Rival Hero
Is This the Endgame of Reed Richards' Biggest Victory?
ThroughoutOne World Under Doom, Earth’s heroes have desperately fought to stopDoctor Doom’s fascist takeover of Earth, but to no success. Doom’s changes to society have resulted in public support, and the governments of the world have given up their authority to his regime.Even the Avengers have found themselves fighting for Doctor Doom’s interests, as he manipulates the board to pit his heroic enemies against his villainous rivals. Now, Reed Richards is undergoing a huge transformation to end this devastating fight.
Reed Richards becoming the Scientist Supreme seemingly settles a controversial point of Marvel lore. In 2009’sMight Avengers #30(from Dan Slott, Christos N. Gage and Sean Chen), Hank Pym - aka the first Ant-Man - was named Earth’s Scientist Supreme by Eternity, the embodiment of Marvel’s reality. However, Loki later claimed this was an illusion, raising questions about whether the role even exists.

Apparently, it does!Reed Richards' new upgrade sees him use science to become the opposite number to Doctor Doom’s Sorcerer Supreme- a direct insult, given that Doom is both a scientist and mystic, and considers Reed his genius rival.
Interestingly, this new role may only exist because, whenReed Richards recreated the multiversein 2015’sSecret Wars- he reimagined reality as a binary system, where every cosmic force has a direct opposite. This seemingly created new gods of science and magic (known as The-Natural-Order-of-Things and The-Powers-That-Be.)It’s possible that Reed is the reason the Scientist Supreme title even exists in the first place.

But whether Reed created this new role or not, it’s the heroes' final chance to stop Doctor Doom, with the greatest challenge yet of course coming from hisFantastic Fournemesis - stay tuned to Screen Rant for more breakingSDCCnews.
