It appears rumors of aNeed for Speed: Hot Pursuitremaster are true, as Electronic Arts is gearing up for an official reveal on October 5th. The publisher for the popularvehicular action gamestarted embracing the rumors earlier this week withNeed for Speedimages and now a teaser website with a phone number and a countdown has appeared.
TheNeed for Speedteaser website is counting down to 8am PT on Monday, October 5th. Presumably, EA has an announcement planned for the early morning, which will likely be confirmation that a remaster of Hot Pursuit is in the works and potential releasing later this year.

In addition to the more obvious countdown, theNeed for Speedsite also includes a phone number for Big Joe’s Pizzeria and the repeating numbers 5 and 10. Presumably, this is just further confirmation that the announcement will take place on October 5th (the 10th month and the 5thday), but it might be more than that. Fans will have to wait and see if more clues surface between now and Monday.

It may not be theMass EffectRemasterthat fans have been dying to hear about, butNeed for Speed: Hot Pursuitis the next in line for the remaster treatment from EA. Either that or the publisher is trying a very elaborate AR experience to announce something completely new.
