No Man’s Sky Atlas Rising Update Announced - Email

Sean Murray also took the opportunity to reminisce in the email, since it’s the first time in a while that he’s spoken to theNo Man’s Skycommunity. Murray mentions that it’sNo Man’s Sky’s anniversaryand how the year has been “exciting, intense, and emotional,” and how the team has spent the year dedicated to creating free updates for this project the team “cares about so much.”

“What we do is much more important than what we say, but since launch we have sometimes focused too much on that.”

Waking Titan was Hello Games' way of re-establishing communication and celebrating theNo Man’s Skycommunity. More than that,Murray’s languageseems to imply that the end of the ARG and the release of Atlas Rises is meant to be a new beginning forNo Man’s Sky. Really, it’s already started with the establishment of the Citizen Science Division, which Murray encourages moreNo Man’s Skyplayers to join by visiting thegroup’s official forums.

Perhaps the most poignant part of Sean Murray’s letter is its final line:

“Our journey continues.”

No Man’s Skyis available now on PC and PlayStation 4. Update 1.3, Atlas Rises, will go live before the end of the week.
