About a month ago, rumors began swirlingthat a high definition version ofOkami– that is, the critically-acclaimedLegend of Zelda-style game from Capcom – would be making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One by the end of the year, and now it looks to be even more likely. To be specific, not only does it appear as if the HD iteration of the title could be coming to the two aforementioned consoles, but also PC users could be receiving it as well if a recent listing from the Korean Ratings Board is to be believed.
Although no official announcement has been made by Capcom, the fine folks at Gematsu managed to translate a rating from the Korean Ratings Board regarding a high-definition version ofOkamifor current generation platforms. The launch ofOkami HDhas supposedly been dated for August 01, 2025, but since the publisher and developer has not commented on these developments, there’s no telling whether or not the title is even an actuality.

Despite this, listings from the Korean Ratings Board are typically quite accurate when it comes to unannounced games eventually being released, as there have been countless titles that have been made public knowledge prior to publishers and developers officially revealing them. For instance, the Korean Ratings Board inadvertently outed the existence ofAssassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collectionwell before it hit store shelves.
Bearing all of this in mind, it’s quite possible thatOkamiwon’t be making the leap onto any new consoles in a high definition format, especially since Capcom hasn’t openly acknowledged its existence. Nevertheless, with the game having been a fan favorite and overall critical success upon its launch way back in 2006, and with the publisher and developer having declared thatHD remasters of its Triple-A games are a priority, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see Amaterasu make her way onto the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Okamiis available now for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and Wii.
