The official Twitter account for theOne Pieceanime revealed that the 1,014th episode will finally airfollowing the Toei hackthat affected it alongside other notable series such asDragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai,Delicious Party,and more.
The anime has been on hiatus for six weeks following the Toei Animation hack that occurred last month. Recap episodes have been airing to fill in the anime’s usual time slot, with theWano Country Best Selectionrecap episode set to air this Sunday.

One Piece’sofficial account announced on April 7 that the show would continue come April 17.One Piecewould also be among the first Toei productions to air since the event. The show’s latest arc, TheWano Country Arc, has been airing for over a year.
Toei’s announcement of unauthorized third-party access to their company database, which led to the company’s system’s shutdown, affected the release of multiple anime spearheaded by the production company. Despite the seemingly good news, it appears that the issue is still under investigation. Apart fromOne Piece, the hack also affected the release schedules ofDelicious Party Precure,Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai, andDigimon Ghost Game. The hack even affected the upcoming release of theDragon Ball Super: Super Heroanime movie.
Before the hack occurred, TV Asahi was supposed to air the sixth episode ofDelicious Party Precureon March 13, but the unprecedented developments caused it to air episode 4. Also,TV Asahiwas initially slated to air new episodes ofHugtti! Precure Futari wa Precure All Stars Memories, but the hack caused the TV to air an episode of the anime in three parts on March 23 and 27, and April 3. Fuji TV was also affected by Toei’s announcement since it was forced to rerun the first episode ofDigimon Ghost Game.
VIZ Media publishes the One Piece manga in English, having just released volume 96 in early April. The anime is licensed by Crunchyroll LLC in North America.
