What The Trailer Means For Only Murders In The Building Season 5
Picking up from season 4’s cliffhanger ending, theOnly Murders in the Buildingseason 5trailer certainly throws Charles, Oliver and Mabel back into the fire, though with a very surprising new foe in the form of two mafia families. Prior seasons have seen the group go up against a variety of threats, though never ones with an established criminal history.
In addition to introducing some of the new cast members, the season 5 trailer also showcases new developments for a few key returning characters. For starters, it’s not immediately clear which mob family Téa Leoni’s Sofia belongs to after paying the group a visit in the season 4 finale, nor how she and Charles will find themselves sharing a one-on-one conversation.
Furthermore, Richard Kind’s Vince Fish looks to finally have given up on his eyepatch-wearing ways, while Meryl Streep’s Loretta looks to be paying the group a visit. Even thoughOnly Murders in the Buildingseason 4 saw herand Oliver get married, the season 5 trailer seems to point to her continued work in Hollywood.
One of the biggest thingsOnly Murders in the Buildingseason 5 will have going for it, which the trailer only loosely alludes to, is finally getting more of the Arconia’s backstory. Sofia previously indicated her missing husband was part of said history, but with Bobby Cannavale’s mobster also seemingly tied to the apartment building’s past, this could expand the group’s investigation to other cases.
Our Take On The Only Murders In The Building Season 5 Trailer
One of the best shows on streaming networks today,Only Murders in the Buildinglooks to be back with another banger of a season. Although one of the integral parts of the Arconia since season 1 was the victim, Lester’s death adds an extra emotional flare to the season, much like Sazz Pataki’s (Jane Lynch) death in season 4.
The trio always plays so perfectly together, with Charles’ daftness giving some of the best comic relief in the trailer, much to the continued chagrin of Oliver and Mabel, and fans will be thrilled to seethe return of Teddy Dimas. With season 5’s premiere only a few weeks away, fans have something to sink their teeth into while they wait for the next round of clues inOnly Murders in the Building.
