Developer ClaudiaTheDev came up with new milestones on Kickstarter for her upcoming gameOva Magica, but popularity for the farming simulator continues to exceed her expectations.
Ova Magicais meeting new stretch goals by the day. Only 5 days ago, the project launched on Kickstarter with an original funding goal of 20,000 euros but has since risen to over 100,000 euros, quickly meeting each new limit ClaudiaTheDev puts in place. In a matter of days,Ova Magica’s Kickstarter has doubled, originally adding new concepts like marriage and playing with Blobs as goals to work towards, but fans are exceeding ClaudiaTheDev’s new milestones just hours after she posts them.

Heavily inspired by a number of popular titles includingStardew Valley,Story of Seasons,Slime Rancher, andPokemon, farming sim gamers are certainly getting amped up forOva Magica, resulting in Kickstarter massive numbers, not unlikeUndertale’s campaign that exploded with supportyears ago.
With all of its bells and whistles, it’s shaping up to be a formidable competitor in the genre. Itsgraphics are a stark contrast againstHarvest Moon: One World’s, which players weren’t happy about when the original trailer launched last year. It also includes all of the same big mechanics—farming and marriage—and many more. Inspired byPokemonandSlime Rancher, players can tame and raise Blobs and even battle with them at the local Blob League. ButOva Magicais available for a fraction of the price that games likeStory of Seasonsretail for.
After hitting milestones that add elements such as a museum, a mystical Blob world, and a pool area complete with swimming outfits, backers are currently working towardshouse expansions for the farming sim, but it likely won’t be long before that goal is met too.
Ova Magicais slated for a 2022 release for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
