Not too long ago, the toy companyNERF teased real-life foam-based gunsinspired by the wildly popular team-based shooterOverwatch, with the replica weapons currently scheduled for release at some point next year. Now, Activision Blizzard has revealed that even more toys based on the multiplayer title are on the way, with the American interactive entertainment firm having officially announced a partnership with LEGO Group to produce LEGO sets bearing the game’s brand for the market.
This much was revealed by way of a press release through Business Wire, with Activision Blizzard and LEGO Group having laid out plans for myriad differentOverwatchbuilding sets that will be saddled with various price points upon availability. Unfortunately, though, neither company offered up any details as to what the sets will look like or when they would come out, but more information should be arriving at a later point in 2018.

Although there has been no confirmation in regards to whatOverwatchassets will be used in the LEGO sets, one can safely bet that the character Tracer will be included in one of the packages in some capacity, especially since she’s the unofficial mascot by being on the game’s box art and wasfeatured as a character in the movieReady Player One. As far as the environments themselves are concerned, fans should expect the products to be inspired by some of the title’s levels, but there’s no telling which of those could be used just yet.
All things considered, the officialOverwatch-branded LEGO sets will certainly be welcomed with open arms by the game’s community, much like how players were excited to learn about the game’sFunko Popand Nendoroid toy lines. Without a doubt, these LEGO products will offer collectors another reason to spend money on ancillary products related to the title, and we will likely see them promoted aggressively duringOverwatchLeague matches.
Overwatchis available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
