Grinding Gear Games revealed a new class that will be available inPath of Exile 2, the Mercenary. The Mercenary class features shooter-like gameplay with the ability to swap crossbows and ammo types on the fly. Alongside the class reveal, GGG also revealed that WASD movement has been added as an option toPoE2.
The Mercenary is a brand new class that is coming toPath of Exile 2, and does not exist in the current version ofPoE. Based on the gameplay video, it looks like a pretty fun class similar to Demon Hunter fromDiablomixed with say a Gunslinger from a game likeLost Ark.
Fans had started to theorize that WASD movement was being added to the game after the previous Druid reveal video showed some gameplay that looked like WASD movement. Now that Grinding Gear Games has confirmed its existence, we know that you will be able to move in a different direction than you aim and attack which is huge for an ARPG. According to the GGG, players will be able to switch between click-to-move and WASD at any time.
