Nico is slated as a series regular starting inPercy Jacksonseason 3, and Bianca will be a recurring character. Filming forPercy Jackson and the Olympiansseason 3 will begin soon.

What Percy Jackson Casting Nico and Bianca Means

The news aboutPercy Jacksoncasting their Nico and Bianca confirms that the show will continue two big casting trends from the first and second seasons. Both Chrisopulos and Abercrombie are appropriate choices for the roles based on the characters’ ages in the books. Thus far, thepreteen and teen characters in thePercy Jacksonseries have been played by preteen and teen actors.

Additionally, both Chrisopulos and Abercrombie are newer to the acting profession, like many of the other young actors on the show. Chrisopulos only has one credit to his name before being cast as Nico. Though Abercrombie had a noteworthy role inMayfair Witchesseason 2, she still has less than a dozen acting credits before being cast inPercy Jackson and the Olympians. The show will undoubtedly help boost their careers, as it did for many of the other actors on the Disney+ show.

Our Take On Bianca & Nico Joining The Percy Jackson TV Show

We Cannot Wait To See Nico & Bianca On The Small Screen

The news about Nico and Bianca joining the TV show is bound to be celebrated byPercy Jacksonfans everywhere. While both Nico and Bianca are beloved parts of thePercy Jacksonseries, Nico is, without a doubt, one of the fan-favorite characters. Although thePercy Jacksonbooks and other Rick Riordan booksare filled with LGBTQ+ representation, Nico was one of the first queer characters, giving him a special place in my heart. Nico is also so innocent that he must be protected at all costs.

Additionally, he is a part of three Rick Riordan series:Percy Jackson and the Olympians,The Heroes of Olympus, andThe Trials of Apollo. As such, it would be a massive oversight if he didn’t appear in thePercy Jackson and the OlympiansTV show. However, it would be wrong for Nico to debut in the show without his older sister.

Bianca deserves so much appreciation and love for being a great older sister and a fierce demigod. She isn’t in as many of the books as Nico, but her presence is still impactful. She has an especially big role inThe Titan’s Curse, the third book of thePercy Jackson and the Olympiansseries. I’m especially looking forward to seeing her alongside the Hunters of Artemis.
