Xbox Game Passis full to the brim with incredible titles, the majority of which are absolutely worth playing. Of course, many of us use the subscription so we can try and, ideally, complete the many brand-new games added each month. FromClair Obscur: Expedition 33toGrounded 2, there are so many newer games that are amazing, reviewed well, and deserve our time. However, there is also an impressive backlog of great games waiting for us, creating quite a conundrum.
Weighing up whether to play a new title or one ofGame Pass’s most underrated gamescan be tough, so it helps when an external factor makes the choice for us. In this specific case,an EA-published RPG is not only leaving the service for good, but is also being completely delistedfrom every digital store available, meaning it’ll be completely unplayable in the coming months. As a result, those who want to play it will need to do so as soon as possible.

Anthem Is On Xbox Game Pass Now
It Is Available Via EA Play
Of course, it is a shame that the promising-soundingAnthem 2.0was canceled, as it would have overhauled many of the major issues with the game. Of course, EA largely gave up on the game afterward. However, the frankly incredible and endlessly enjoyable flying, coupled with some decent shooting mechanics and fun co-op missions, mean that, at leastfor a handful of hours, Anthem provides a lot of entertainment.
In January, It’ll Be Gone Forever
EA Is Pulling The Plug
Unfortunately, if you’re interested in checking it out via Game Pass, either for the first time or to revisit it after all of its improvements, there isn’t much time left.EAhas announced via a blog post on its official website that it isshuttingAnthemdownafter 6 years. It explained that,“after careful consideration, [it] will be sunsetting Anthem on July 19, 2025.“This means, as of the time of writing, there are only a few months left to playAnthembefore it’s gone forever.
As there is no offline component toAnthem- and EA seemingly has no intentions of adding one - once the servers are taken offline, the entire game will be completely unplayable. This is fairly common nowadays, with the likes ofConcordsuffering a similar fate very recently. Fortunately, a few months is more than enough time to beat the relatively short campaign and experience some of the co-op content with a friend. Considering it’s free onXbox Game Pass, I’d highly recommend tryingAnthemout, if only to experience a piece of gaming history.
