Several players reported getting Kyurem Black and White as Go Battle League rewards. The rank 20 or higher players claimed their PvP rewards after doing a set ofPokemon GObattles, and instead of finding one of the listed Pokemon, they discovered Kyurem’s alternative forms. Niantic’s slip-up quickly took over social media, with players such as Twitter user 9Ra9panDA showing videos and images of the Pokemon.
Niantic wasted no time removing the forms of the Legendary from GBL. On its Twitter support profile, the devs apologized to players for the error, said they are looking into what caused it, and promised to update players. This isn’t the first timePokemon GOhas experienced problems of this kind. A player got Articuno in 2016 when the Legendary Bird wasn’t officially available inPokemon GO.
