Pokemon GOfans are just hours away froma ton of new Galar Pokemon appearing in the mobile AR gameand the final pieces of the behind-the-scenes code falling into place. Before the final phase of the Throwback 2020 Celebration kicks off, the latest update to the game’s master file added the available move sets for almost every incoming Galar form Pokemon.
During thisfinal phase of the Throwback Celebrationand the ticketed Special Research, trainers are going to have the chance to hatch Galar form Pokemon from 7km Eggs, battle them in Raids, and earn encounter rewards with them for working through the Special Research. Once they’ve all been acquired, it’ll be time to figure out how useful they’re going to be in futurePokemon GObattles.

Many Galar form Pokemon are actually very powerful and offer some unique opportunities to capitalize on the current PvP metagame. Most will be pretty uncommon forthe Battle Raid scenethanks to the competition from Legendary Pokemon, but a few may be useful on occasion.
