Pokemon GO’sDetective Pikachuevent went live, bringing with it a new set of raid bosses for players to defeat. From now until thePokemon GODetective Pikachuevent ends on May 17, fans of the popular mobile augmented reality game will encounter Pokemon from theDetective Pikachumovie both out in the wild and in raids.

However, it seems as though Niantic didn’t change up thePokemon GOraid boss list too much for theDetective Pikachuevent. Instead of removing all of the current raid bosses and replacing them withDetective Pikachuraid bosses, the studio more or less added theDetective Pikachuraid bosses to the pool of existing raids.

One Pokemon thatPokemon GOplayers may have expected to see in legendary raids but who isn’t part of the lineup is Mewtwo. Thanks to various trailers, we know thatMewtwo is inDetective Pikachu, with his appearance rumored to be setting up a plannedPokemoncinematic universe. Considering how much Mewtwo has been featured in the marketing forDetective Pikachu, it’s surprising that he hasn’t returned for legendary raids during theDetective Pikachuevent.

Meanwhile,Pokemon GOplayers have a lot more to do than just fight raid bosses during theDetective Pikachuevent. They can also complete limited-timeDetective Pikachuevent Field Research tasks, as well as hunt for Pokemon from the film in the wild. There’s also the chance thatPokemon GOplayers can catch a detective hat Pikachu if they take pictures using the in-game camera.

TheDetective Pikachuevent will last from now until May 17, so anyone that wants to battle theDetective Pikachuevent raid bosses or participate in the event’s other festivities should be sure to do so.
