Jurassic World Alive, aPokemon GO-inspired game based onJurassic World, has been available in select markets for a few months. However, the game is now available most everywhere, with both iOS and Android users able to download and play today.

Jurassic World Alive’s wide release has been marked with an official trailer that shows how its gameplay works. Much like thePokemon GOgame that inspired it,Jurassic World Aliveis an augmented reality experience where players find and capture creatures out in the real world. However, whereas players toss a Pokeball at the collectible creatures inPokemon GO, they have to shoot dinosaurs with tranquilizer darts inJurassic World Alive.

The differences betweenPokemon GOandJurassic World Alivedon’t end there, however.Jurassic World Alivehas a much bigger focus on battling, as the main reason why players are collecting dinosaurs is to create a team to battle other players. See the PvP in action in the game’s trailer:

Jurassic World Alive’s focus on PvP may very well help the game steal some ofPokemon GO’s audience. Despite promising PvP since its announcement trailer,Pokemon GOplayers are still unable to battle each other.Pokemon GOfans who are frustrated by the game’s lack of true PvP may be persuaded into trying outJurassic World Aliveto see if it scratches their PvP itch.

Then again,Pokemon GOfans may stay loyal to Niantic’s game. After all, there have been a number ofPokemon GOclones released since the game’s meteoric rise in popularity, but none have managed to garner the same level attention as the original. It may be that the allure of thePokemonbrand is just too great for similar games to overcome.

All things considered, it will be interesting to see how popularJurassic World Alivebecomes now that it is available to a wider audience.

Jurassic World Aliveis out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
