This past weekend,Pokemon GOfans turned out in droves for the chance to catch ashiny Beldumand add a Metagross with the especially powerful move Meteor Mash to their collection. Now Niantic has announced the next Community Day event, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 10.
The November 2018 Community Day event forPokemon GOwill start at 11am Pacific on November 10, which is the usual start time. The featured Pokemon this time around is the second generation fire-type starter Pokemon Cyndaquil, whose spawn rate will be dramatically increased for the entire three hours of the event. Cyndaquil’s shiny variant will also be much easier to find during Community Day.
To sweeten the pot, Niantic has confirmed some additional bonuses forPokemon GOfans to look forward to come Community Day on November 10.Pokemon GOplayers will get double XP for every Pokemon they catch during the event, plus double stardust in addition to three hour lure modules. All of this is on top of the chance to get a Typhlosionwith an exclusive move, which has yet to be announced by Niantic.
Past Community Day events have given players the chance to get Pokemon with exclusive moves, so it’s no surprise that the Cyndaquil Community Day is following suit. The exclusive move is rumored to be Blast Burn, but as previously stated, Niantic has yet to make an official announcement. Regardless of what the move is, though, players will have to evolve a Quilava into a Typhlosion either during the event or within an hour after it ends if they want to get the move.
Meanwhile, some fans may be surprised that the next Community Day is happening just a couple of weeks after the latest one, but it seems as though Niantic is hosting it in early November to avoid interfering with the holiday season. After all, the end of November is reserved for holiday shopping and Thanksgiving (at least in the United States), and it likely doesn’t want to compete with the holidays.
In the meantime,Pokemon GOfans should learn the exclusive Community Day move for Typhlosion within the next couple of weeks or so.
