ManyPokemon GOplayers around the world may be stuck inside thanks to stay-at-home orders and social distancing best practices, but that doesn’t mean they can’t still play the mobile AR game. Over the last month, Niantic has made somesweeping changes to the game’s features, events, and spawnsto ensure that players can stay engaged and active without leaving the house. The latest update goes one step further and helps bring the Battle Raid scene back to life, as well.

TheRemote Raiding rolloutis now complete and eligible players level five and higher can engage in Battle Raids from a distance, as long as the Raid is on their Nearby radar. The newPokemon GOfeature is going to drastically change the Raiding scene and helps bring a lot of players back into the game.

To help celebrate the launch of Remote Raid Passes,Pokemon GOis bringing back three iconic Legendary Raid Bosses over the next few weeks. The festivities start today with the return of Darkrai, but Altered Forme Girtatina, and Virizion will be following shortly behind in early and mid May.

In celebration of the release of Remote Raid Passes and the ability to take part in nearby Raid Battles remotely, some familiar faces are coming to five-star raids! If you missed out on getting Darkrai, Altered Forme Giratina, or Virizion, now’s your chance. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one of any of these Pokémon!
