As it turns out,PlayerUnknown’s Battlegroundshas more to offer players this week thanPUBG’s previously-announced next-gen upgrades. PUBG Corporation has revealed that a new update for Season 9, update 9.2, is now available for players to try out on the game’s test server, and it brings with it a lot of new content.
The biggest new feature is the addition of dirt bikes toPUBG’s selection of vehicles. The patch notes for update 9.2 describes the new single-seat two-wheeler as “more than just a lite version of the Motorbike,” as it offers improved suspension to provide players with smoother and faster offroading. PUBG Corp. says dirt bikes spawn on all maps except Karakin and will now make up 50% of the available bikes in any given match.

The update also brings with it a vehicle-related feature that many players have requested: the ability to shoot from the driver’s seat. A new system allows players to fire sidearms while maintaining full control of any vehicle aside from boats and BRDM, which should open up the gameplay possibilities inPUBGconsiderably. However, PUBG Corp. stresses that vehicle aiming has been overhauled so players are restricted by the constraints of their different vehicles and other passengers in their line of fire.
Rounding things off, the update comes with a number of sidearm balance adjustments, some tweaks to regional matchmaking, and a number of general updates and bug fixes. Lastly, the game has received a special “Battle Bride Pass” that focuses on Sadiya Qureshi, a hero in theever-growing lore ofPUBG, and lets players unlock some of her skins by grinding through its 15 levels.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegroundsis available for Mobile, PC, PS4, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, and will be out on November 12 for PS5.
