Superannuation has been on a roll lately with spotting curious domain registrations. As posted onKotaku, it’s been discovered thatHeavy Raindeveloper Quantic Dream registeredsingularityps4.comback in November of last year, following the same URL naming convention used for the prior game’swebsite.
Currently, the studio has its PlayStation 3 titleBeyond: Two Souls(pictured above) in development and, seemingly, this other project for Sony’s unannounced PlayStation 4. Superannuation picked up on the fact that Quantic Dream founder David Cage has cited the bookThe Singularity is Nearas inspiration for the team’sKara tech demonstration.
Not to trashBeyond, but I was significantly more interested in seeing the ideas presented in the Kara demo expanded into a full game. Could such themes of artificial intelligence be explored on Sony’s upcoming console? It seems entirely plausible.
