As is indicated by its name, the expansion will focus on the return of theMega Evolution mechanic toPokémon TCG.
A lot of the investment into Mega Evolutions will be made as a universal effort to promote the mechanic, as it will make a comeback in the next core game,Pokémon Legends: Z-A.Mega Evolutions are returning across thePokémonfranchise, but even though the mechanic will be abundantly present in the newTCGset, there will be a lot of regular cards in the set, as well as Secret Rare variations, one of which has been revealed and will certainly draw pulls from boosters from avid collectors.

This Is Arguably The Most Gorgeous Inteleon Card So Far
All the main set cards fromMega BraveandMega Symphoniahave been officially revealed, as seen on a report byPokébeach, and these will be localized for theMega Evolutionset.Among the several cards that are presented, the Secret Rare version of Inteleon stands out. The illustration accompanying the card is stunning and puts the spotlight on the final form of the Generation 8 Water-type starter.
The artwork features Inteleon pointing its finger forward, toward the viewer’s perspective, using what seems like its signature move Snipe Shot. The creature seems to be standing on water in the ocean, as it is surrounded by water with a wave forming above it. It’s a great way of highlighting Inteleon, consideredone of the strongest Water-type Pokémon.This is arguably the best Inteleon card inPokémon TCG, perhaps tied with the Special Illustration Rare of Inteleon VMAX from theFusion Strikeset.

I’d expect that the new Inteleon card will be worth a significant amount of money.This is because this will be an Illustration Rare card in theMega Evolutionset, meaning its pull rate will be tougher to beat than ordinary cards. It won’t be as tough to obtain as Special Illustration Rare cards, but it is still a rare item. Its rarity, combined with the fact that it’s a gorgeous illustration of a starter Pokémon’s final evolution, will make it extremely sought-after.
With Inteleon being one of my favorite Water-type Pokémon, despite the general community’s disapproval of its design, I’m sure I’ll be among the fans who will spend their money on booster boxes in search of the new Secret Rare Inteleon card fromPokémon TCG’sMega Evolutionexpansion.
