The upcomingNeagleyspinoff show is exciting, but it is hard not to see how it could potentially hurt Alan Ritchson’sReacherin one devastating way. However, neither the books nor the show even reveal the reason behind this aversion. The Maria Sten character also seems obsessed with cereal in the series, which remains another unexplored but intriguing aspect of her characterization. She also shows immense empathy towards Russo during his final moments inReacherseason 2, which is another mysterious scene that seems to tie into her shrouded past.
As a viewer, it is hard not to be curious about all these ambiguous elements surrounding Neagley’s history and motivations. At the same time, though, it is these mysteries that truly make her an intriguing addition to the series. The unanswered questions surrounding many of her actions allow viewers to keep guessing who she is and where she comes from.
