Not too long ago, Rockstar Games decided to revealthe pre-load date and timefor its forthcoming open world western,Red Dead Redemption 2, in order to give players a generous window to prepare for the title’s release next week. On top of this, the video game developer has also given fans the heads up that it will provide them withRDR2’s official launch trailer in anticipation of the sequel going live several days from now.
As indicated by the tweet below, Rockstar Games will debutRed Dead Redemption 2’s launch trailer tomorrow, October 18, at 10:00 AM ET. However, the studio didn’t provide any hints or clues as to what the video will contain. Should it be similar to other games' launch trailers, then fans should expect to see the footage showcase some of the sequel’s gameplay, cutscenes from the story, and a focus on its high graphical fidelity.
Speaking of graphical heft, Rockstar Games has already touted thatRed Dead Redemption 2features the largest map that the studio has ever created, so it’s no wonder why the title’s file sizes on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are so big. As it so happens, it looks as if there are so many assets jam packed intoRDR2thatphysical copies will come with two discsin order for players to experience all that the open world western game has to offer.
Taking all of this into account,Red Dead Redemption 2should expect to see Rockstar Games push the forthcoming title’s promotion into overdrive in the days leading up to its launch. With no more delays in sight, it should be interesting to see how the sequel’s sales fare upon release, as the developer has already stated that a third entry is in the cards ifRDR2performs well once it shows up on store shelves next week.
Red Dead Redemption 2is set to release on August 17, 2025 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
