The Root have copied everything from humans – from blades to guns. They’ve even seeped into the human mind and copied whatever they saw there – creating a part flesh, part deadwood object that resembles the human root ganglia.
Root Ganglia is a repulsive crafting material inRemnant 2. Even though it may not be moving, it still feels like it’s alive. Nobody would want to touch this disgusting item, but it’s quite useful forcrafting special weapon mods. Players who are wondering where to get their hands on the Root Ganglia can learn how to get it using this guide.

How to Get Root Ganglia in Remnant 2
If they’re juststarting out inRemnant 2, it’s advisable that players don’t skip the tutorial. The ‘prologue’ of the game is where the nameless traveler begins their journey in a location called Eastport.
While they’re in Eastport, players will surely find the Root Mantis – a boss that drops Root Ganglia when killed. It’s a one-time drop and the only way to get Root Ganglia inRemnant 2.

It’s relatively easy to kill the Root Mantis, and this boss fight allows players to familiarize themselves with the combat mechanics (dodging, gun switching, etc) inRemnant 2. The Root Mantis has a ‘weak spot,’ which is the visible part of its core. Once killed, it drops the Root Ganglia, which players can use to craft a special weapon mod – for free.
Right after the prologue ends, players get access toWard 13, a safe home for the survivors, andcan meet a merchantnamedAva McCabe. They can ask her to craft one of the four mods mentioned below:
Players can select whichever mod they think would work best for their playstyle.
Even though Root Ganglia is only available in the tutorial, players don’t need to stress if they can’t find this gross item again. If they think they’ve made the wrong choice, they can simply purchase the remaining mods from McCabe for 1,500 Scrap.
