The character in question is none other than Jane Foster’s Thor, whom Miller seems convinced will appear in tandem with the release of the MCU’sThor: Love and Thunderthis July. This would effectively mean that the character will release in or around four months, however, and the rumors of a Jane Foster character are to be taken lightly until concrete, official statements are made.
Spider-Man, a character who wasannounced as PlayStation-exclusive beforeMarvel’s Avengerseven launched, took over a year to release. So the idea that Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix are targeting a July release for Jane Foster’s Thor, who has not even been announced, seem ambitious if true. Rather, if Jane Foster does still appear as a playable echo character, it would allow forMarvel’s Avengersto introduce her look fromThor: Love and Thunderand perpetuate its connection to the MCU.
While any information about futureMarvel’s Avengerscharacters is currently speculative and unofficial, fans would definitely be excited to hear news about any new characters at this point. It is possible that the development of multiple new playable characters has delayed the announcement ofMarvel’s Avengers' next roadmap, which could include one or more characters that have since been rumored to appear. Time will tell if the rumors of a Jane Foster Thor are accurate or speculative, and whether she is intended to release this summer.
