Deadpool 3is still two years off. It’s no surprise there’s so much secrecy around the project when so much can change in that time, but Ryan Reynolds could be teasing aDeadpoolandLokicrossover by chatting with Miss Minutes.

Deadpool 3is set to return Reynolds to the role of Deadpool, except this time, he will beteaming up with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. What’s more, the film will be set in the MCU after previousDeadpoolfilms were set in Fox’sX-Menuniverse. Fans have wondered how this will be done, and a common interpretation or assumption has been thatDeadpool 3will be touching on multiversal travel.

Reynolds himself possibly hinted at such a possibility quite recently. In response to an unprompted tweet directed at Deadpool from Miss Minutes, Reynolds simply responded, “Hello, Miss Minutes.” This reply to a Miss Minutes Twitter account could be a fun joke for fans, but it could also hint at something more.Miss Minutes is a character fromLokiwho essentially serves as a guide to the inner workings of the Time Variance Authority, which originally served to control the timeline so that other universes wouldn’t pop up.Lokiis also where the MCU’s Multiverse Saga began, and it could be thatDeadpool 3will explore this aspect of the MCU.

This would also allow Deadpool’s previous films to stay in continuity without necessarily hitching the previous Fox universe to the MCU.TheDeadpoolfranchise frequently breaks the fourth wall, and the character himself is very meta. It would be very much in style with the humor of those films to include the TVA as a framework forDeadpool 3, should the film go that route.

By including the multiverse inDeadpool 3, the movie would be primed for some choice comedy and commentary on the MCU. It also allowsWolverine’s role inDeadpool 3to serve as a swan song for the character, should Jackman not desire to return for more films. If he’s only playing a variant of Wolverine, that opens the possibility of another character playing the MCU version of the character.
