“So I guess I’m just gonna be traumatized by marbles for the rest of my life then,” Liu wrote about the episode on Twitter. The episode in question is the sixth one, titled “Gganbu.” As part oftheSquid Gameepisode, players are asked to split up in pairs. When two players agree to play together, they must shake on it. They all have 10 minutes to find a partner, and without any knowledge of the game, the players don’t know whether they should pair up with someone smart, strong, or manipulative.
It turns out that the game is a simple one from the players’ childhood. They’ll be playing marbles, and the first player to achieve all of their opponent’s marbles wins. The losing player dies. This was one of the most powerful episodes inthis season ofSquid Game, with many of the main characters being killed. A lot of fans were upset over the outcome of the episode, sharing their disappointment on social media. Liu has now joined these fans to express his trauma.
