In “They Wanna Have Fun,” Carrie is enthralled by Duncan’s work.
In episode 7, Carrie returns the gesture, hesitantly bestowing Duncan with the first chapter of her period fiction novel. Much to Bradshaw’s surprise,Duncan thinks Carrie’s work is electric, and he showers her with compliments when he asks her to join him on the terraceduring Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Carrie’s impromptu party for Charlotte (Kristin Davis).
Carrie and Duncan’s chemistry is undeniable, though Carrie denies it.
Duncan gushing over Carrie’s work has a significant effect on Bradshaw, who’s been too busy dealing with conflict with Aidan to enjoy the lighter aspects of romance that her interaction with Duncan hints at.
