In episode 7, Carrie returns the gesture, hesitantly bestowing Duncan with the first chapter of her period fiction novel. Much to Bradshaw’s surprise,Duncan thinks Carrie’s work is electric, and he showers her with compliments when he asks her to join him on the terraceduring Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Carrie’s impromptu party for Charlotte (Kristin Davis).
