InStardew Valley, players can accomplish just about anything they want to. Players can becomeforesters or gatherers by profession, learn to sew, farm, and cook. But to be a great cook, players will need to be able to make cooking oil to make some delicious dishes.

Oil Makers in Stardew Valley

In order to make any oil inStardew Valleyto learn how to cook, players will first need two things: anOil Makerand some ingredients. Oil makers are Artisan Equipment just like Cheese Presses, Kegs, Looms, and more; it’s used to make Artisan Goods in the form of oils.

Creating an oil maker requires the player have a level 8 Farming Skill to learn the recipe. After that, players will need 50 slimes, 20Stardew Valleyhardwood, and a gold bar to craft the oil maker itself. Oil makers can then be used like any other equipment with just the oil’s ingredients and some patience.

Players can make two different kinds of oil with an oil maker inStardew Valley. There is basic Cooking Oil and Truffle Oil.

Players can also buy basic cooking oils from Pierre’s for 200g each.

There are a lot of recipes that require some kind of oil to cook, usually with just basic cooking oils. Players will need a variety of ingredients to make them. Several of these recipes also have some great benefits, like extra fighting power, health, and stamina. For example, cooking someStardew Valleymushroomswith Morel and oil will make Fried Mushrooms, which boost attack power by 2.

Other Things to Do With Oils

While basic oil is not required for any quests inStardew Valley, players can use oils to create a shirt. When used in the spool of a Sewing Machine, basic oil creates an Oil Stained Shirt. Truffle oil is needed for a quest given to the player by Mayor Lewis.
