Given the vast amount of video games available in the market right now, most gamers are probably guilty of purchasing too many, that result to some games left unplayed for months on end. Now, giant PC game retailerSteamis bringing back its Steam Spring Cleaning event to encourage players to dust off their Steam library.
The Steam Spring Cleaning event is not the same asthe Steam Summer Sale that heavily discounted over 10,000 games last year. Instead, the Spring Cleaning event rewards participating players with badges for a limited time, encouraging them to dust off games that they already own among other achievements available. The event will offer daily tasks that are updated every single day such as getting into a previously purchased game that still hasn’t been played, playing a title that Steam will pick randomly from the player’s library, and getting through a couple of free games that the platform will recommend to the player.

Aside from the daily tasks, the event is also offering projects that players only need to accomplish once. Completing daily tasks and projects would earn players a unique profile badge, which they can level up by accomplishing more tasks and projects. TheSteam Spring Cleaningevent is already available now and will end on May 28, 10 AM PDT. Below are the available projects that players can accomplish for the duration of the event:
Steam is also offering free-to-play games during the Spring Cleaning event such asDead by Daylight, Endless Space 2, Assetto Corsa, Grim Dawn, Don’t Starve Together, Black Desert Online, andLeft For Dead 2. For those who are curious as to when Steam’s annual Summer Sale will begin, the digital gaming store still hasn’t confirmed a date. However,a recent leak revealed that the Steam Summer Sale 2019 is due to commence on July 17, 2025,at 10 AM PST, and will last for two weeks.
