Super Rare Games has announced five physical releases for the Nintendo Switch. Super Rare Games is a publisher and distributor based in London, England, and it has physically released games for the Switch in the past. Now, fans can look forward to five new games coming soon, and Giant Squid’sAbzuhighlights the list.
The digital games revolution has allowed indie-developed titles to find massive success over the past decade-plus, as it is much easier to distribute a game without having to package it, ship it to retailers, and so on and so forth. But many gamers still enjoy the idea of having a physical version of their favorites, especially for collecting purposes. A few years agoSuper Rare Games made a physical version ofSnake Passfor example, and now it is doing the same with five more Nintendo Switch titles.

The full list of newly announced Super Rare Games for the Nintendo Switch includesAbzu, Deponia Collection, Inmost, Super Crush KO,andVigil: The Longest Night.The games will be available at different points throughout the remainder of the year. First up, however, isAbzu,which will be available on Super Rare Games' official website on April 29 at 2 pm ET.
Abzuis a deep-sea-diving tranquil adventure game that often draws comparisons toJourney.Its developer recently released theadequately-receivedThe Pathlessfor PlayStation.Deponia Collection,meanwhile, is like having four puzzle-adventure games in one, as it hasDeponia, Chaos on Deponia, Goodbye Deponia, and Deponia Doomsdayall in one package and combining to give the player about 50 hours of gameplay.
Inmostis a gorgeous and challenging but very short puzzle game, timing it at around 4 hours. Meanwhile,Super Crush KOmay remind players of old-school brawlers, but with a very unique art style. Lastly,Vigil: The Longest Nightis an RPG thatflew under the radar in 2020.Currently, Super Rare Games has published and distributed 49 Nintendo Switch titles, so these games will add to that growing list.
