Tap, tap, tap-aroo
I’ve been clean for a few years now, but not too long ago,Picrosswas my digital cocaine. I consumedPicross DSin unhealthy amounts, and when the game was exhausted and I thought I could finally be sober again,Picross 3Dcame out. My family and friends had to stage an intervention.
Though the simple, grid-based puzzles that produced low-res images have been out of my mind and body for a while, seeingTappingoand its explanation have brought the itch back. Developed by Goodbye Galaxy Games,Tappingois not a nonogram puzzle exactly likePicross. Instead, it features colored pixels with numbers attached, and flicking any one pixel will create a straight line of that color until it hits an obstruction. The goal is to manipulate the puzzle such that each numbered pixel forms a line with that many dots in it.

If done correctly, the end result is a delicious voxel-fruit or some other colorful image. And of course, completing a puzzle brings the satisfaction of knowing you are one step closer to permanent puzzle game sobriety.
