Our Take On The F.A.S.T. Cast

The most exciting addition toF.A.S.T.may well beactor LaKeith Stanfielddespite the impressive past projects of every other cast member currently announced for the project. Stanfield, who established himself through work on avant-garde projects likeAtlanta, which often ventured into the surreal, andSorry to Bother You, is something of an unexpected pick.

Of course, the actor has well-established dramatic chops. Stanfield was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor thanks to his performance as William O’Neal inJudas and the Black Messiah, in what would become the first major nod to his talents.

But the remainingF.A.S.T.cast is a well-rounded group likely to raise expectations about the movie. Even for actors like Sam Claflin and Trevante Rhodes who appeared in respective action filmsThe Hunger GamesandThe Predator,F.A.S.T.could be an opportunity to show off their skills in a more grounded, yet gripping, tale.
