As revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, IDW Publishing officially announcedTMNT x Godzilla, written by Tim Seeley, with art by Fero Pe,set to be released this November.
IDW revealed several teaser images at theirTMNTpanel, hyping the crossover as one of the most highly anticipated in pop culture history.

The announcement reveals that theFoot Clan’s original purpose in being created was to protect Japan from Kaiju monsters, but not only are the Foot Clan ill-prepared when Godzilla returns, Shredder may be behind the attacks. The Turtles travel to Japan to investigate Shredder’s latest scheme, but they must also contend witha nearly 400-foot-tallKing of the Monsters.
It’s almost surprising to think that there has never been a crossover between the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Godzilla,when both properties have been so iconic over the years. Many readers will profess to both names being staples of their childhood, yet at no point either onscreen or on-panel have the two joined forces.
It’s not like the prospect hasn’t sprung to mind in the past, as it was last year that writer Jason Aaron called thisa crossover that needed to happen. Thankfully, it looks like IDW finally listened, and is giving the book an all-star creative team;Seeley writes for IDW’s top-sellingGodzillaseries, while Pe drew the 2023TMNT x Stranger Thingsseries.
