Given that it’s located on the outskirts ofthe Gerudo Desert, it’s perhaps not all that surprising that the Mayatat Shrine inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomboasts a desert theme. The whole shrine is covered with a sea of sand, and players must safely navigate this using the tools at their disposal in order to reach their goal.

Like a lot of the other shrines inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Mayatat Shrine aims to teach players about Zonai devices and how they can be used to get around in hazardous terrains. It’s one of the more fun examples of this, providing players with a chance to let loose and blow off a little steam.

Mayatat Shrine Location

Players will stumble across the Mayatat Shrine in the Gerudo Desert as they make their way toward Gerudo Town. It’s on the edge of the Kara Kara Bazaar area, which is where players can buy theDesert Voe Headbandfor 450 Rupees from a Gerudo merchant named Saula. The best way to reach the Bazaar is by air, withthe Gerudo Canyon Skyview Towerjust a little way to the east. The coordinates of the Mayatat Shrine are -3290, -2511, 0024.

Mayatat Shrine Walkthrough

Upon entering the Mayatat Shrine, players will see three sleds coming down from a ledge above them. To progress, they’ll simply need to stand in front of one of these sleds, hop onto it, and then use Link’s Recall ability. This will enable them to ride the sled back up to the top of the ledge and a new area with a huge sea of quicksand and an assortment of Zonai parts. Here, they’ll want to make their way over to one of the nearest two platforms and then useLink’s Ultrahand abilityto grab one of the fans and move it over toward the other parts.

Next, players should set about assembling a sand boat byadding a steering stick to the center of the sledand a fan or two to the back. They can then ride their contraption over to the left side of the chamber, where, after climbing up some steps, they’ll find a chest containing ten arrows. They can then either dive and glide over to the nearby platform and build a new sand boat to take them to the shrine’s statue or double back and take the one they created earlier. Either way, they’ll be able to claim themselves another Light of Blessing.
