Many people have resorted to working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic and some are realizing the trials and tribulations of interacting with people remotely. Companies have moved to meetings on Skype and Zoom and with a chatroom full of virtual people, weird and funny situations are bound to happen. The producers ofThe Officeare currently working on a show aboutworking from home conditions.
Ben Silverman and Paul Lieberstein are teaming up to produce the new show. Both men were producers onThe Officeand Paul Lieberstein also played everybody’s favorite HR worker,Toby Flenderson. It seems the show will take a similar direction asThe Officebecause the show’s plot has been described as “a wunderkind boss who, in an effort to ensure his staff’s connectedness and productivity, asks them all to virtually interact and work face-to-face all day.”

Paul Lieberstein also commented on the show by saying, “Start with the office comedy, lose the office and you’re just left with comedy. The math works.” Lieberstein’s comments prove the show will draw inspiration fromThe Office, just without the actual office.
