Netflix has released a new trailer forThe Waterfront, a twisty crime drama inspired by true events led by stars fromMindhunterandSupergirl.Crime dramas on streaminghave become a mainstay for many streamers, including Netflix, with plenty to choose from. One of their upcoming series in the genre isThe Waterfront, a series set in Havenport, North Carolina about the Buckley family, who will do whatever it takes to keep their family business from drowning. The show harbors a focus on both family and crime, promising a balance of both types of stories in equal measure.

Now,Netflixhas released a new trailer forThe Waterfront, whichshowcases just how far the Buckley family are willing to go for their business power over Havenport. The trailer shows lead character Harlan (Holt McCallany) getting involved with selling drugs to keep his business afloat. He has disagreements with his son, Cane (Jake Weary), and is trying to keep the rest of his family together, including his wife, Belle (Maria Bello), and his daughter, Bree (Melissa Benoist).

The trailer teases howthe Buckley family sinks deeper into the drug tradeas new faces become part of their business. It also confirms high tension and deaths are going to happen as Harlan continues trying to keep his family together. The trailer ends with the series' release date of August 03, 2025. A Promising, Family-Focused Crime Drama

The Waterfrontis promising acrime series inspired by true events,with stars like McCallany and Benoist offering strong performances in the process.
