They’re also a great way to give your martial characters access to elemental attacks, especially if your opponent has a specific vulnerability - theArrow of Fireis of particular note, since you may use it to blow up explosives.
Spellcasters can also benefit bysaving a spell slot or twoif they use an arrow instead. The biggest concern most players likely have with this is that these resources seem finite, but this is far from the case.When it comes to simple consumables like arrows and oils, you may always pick these up from various vendorsaround the world. They’ll restock after every few long or partial rests, so as long as you have some gold handy, more of these items will be within your reach.

These Consumables Are Very Useful Situationally
Several arrows aren’t worth holding onto for the final fight, but can be very useful earlier on. For example,some arrows are designed for taking down a specific type of enemy- you’ll probably find theArrow of Undead Slayingmuch more useful in the second act, where undead enemies are abundant. You’ll find many arrows of acid in the early game, which are quite convenient as simple AoE attacks - but theArrow of Many Targetsis also great for taking out groups of enemies at once.
Enemy Types That Have Arrows Designed For Them:
One of my favorite situational coatings to use isArsonist’s Oil. This turns a creature’s fire resistance into a weakness towards fire. Fire resistance is one of the more common resistances in BG3, and there are plenty of fire damage spells and abilities you can use alongside it. This is barely scratching the surface ofBaldur’s Gate 3’sunderrated useful consumables, so the next time you come acrossa seemingly useless item, you should keep your battle tactics fresh and find a way to effectively use it.
