The season 1 finale ofDaredevil: Born Againset up an important team, and it’s the perfect excuse for one old character to return. Episode 9 showed theMCU’sNew York City taking a turn for the worse under Fisk’s rule. After Bullseye’s attempt on Fisk’s life, a city-wide blackout caused chaos in the streets. To further his anti-vigilante agenda, Fisk uses the drama of the night to justify a ban on masked vigilante activity. With the city now under Martial Law,the season endswithMatt rounding up a team to fight back against Fiskonce and for all.

Daredevil’s armycurrently consists of Karen, Cherry, Josie, and Angie Kim. Of course, they will need more members to ensure success, and considering that Matt has already had one previous Marvel team-up, there are some obvious candidates to recruit.Jessica Jones fought alongside Daredevil inThe Defendersand could be a big help to his army. Coupled with the fact that there have been rumors for ages about Jessica’s return and actress Krysten Ritter has expressed personal interest, season 2 needs to feature the return of this Defenders member.

Jessica Jones Is The Defenders Member Most Vulnerable To Kingpin

Jessica resides in New York City just like Matt, so she should be feeling the effects of Fisk’s rule on a personal level. However, she may be at an even bigger risk than Matt because of her lack of secret identity. Jessica is known to the public because of her accomplishments in taking down Kilgrave and the Hand. The success of her detective agency skyrocketed because of the notoriety she gained while taking down these villains, and while it’s unclear if she ever did sign the Sokovia Accords, she was famous enough to have her name thrown in the mix.

After the events ofDaredevil: Born Againseason 1, Fisk has become more anti-vigilante than ever as heroes close in on his true intentions. He wants to round them up and has been shown as successful in doing so with the first few vigilantes he currently has locked up. Out of all the Defenders members,Jessica is the most vulnerable to Kingpin’s upcoming rule due to her lack of secret identity. Her fame, especially within the city of New York, should logically put her on the mayor’s radar.

Will Jessica Jones Become Part Of Daredevil’s Army?

Along with the rest of the Defenders, there’s a pretty decent chance that Jessica will become part of Daredevil’s army inBorn Againseason 2.Marvel’s head of television Brad Winderbaum has discussed bringing back more Marvel Netflix heroessince the newDaredevilshow started airing. Fans have already expressed interest inseeing the Defenders reunite in the official MCU, and considering the success thatBorn Againhas had, the studio should feel confident in bringing them back to a great response.

There are plenty of heroes who would have a reason to fight back against Fisk, such as Echo and Kate Bishop, and the Defenders would fit in right alongside them.

Marvel is clearly setting up more people to join Daredevil’s army, and it was a smart choice not to reveal every member right away. There are plenty of heroes who would have a reason to fight back against Fisk, such as Echo and Kate Bishop, and the Defenders would fit in right alongside them. If Marvel wants another easy way to tie the past Netflix shows into the official MCU timeline, having Jessica Jones and the rest of the Defenders appear in the fight against Fisk inDaredevil: Born Againseason 2 would be the perfect set-up.
