Video games find a way. A recent trademark points to a newJurrasic Worldvideo game being under development, perhaps for the current generation PS4 and Xbox One, as well as the PS5 and Xbox One, and PC.

TheJurassic Parkfranchise seems like a great fit for video games, as dinosaurs and a giant gorgeous jungle-like world for players to explore are almost always perfect for the platform.Jurassic World Evolutionin many ways looked to be the next great game in the series, and for many it was.Jurassic World Evolutionwas a commercial success and scored relatively solid review scores as a strategy game and a park building game, similar to theZoo Tycoongames.

Universal Pictures still owns theJurrasic WorldIP, and it has recently trademarked a game namedJurassic World Aftermath. It is very much possible that this new game is a follow up toJurassic World Evolution. Still, some fans were unhappy with the strategy park building game, as peopleexpressed disappointment when it was part of the  free Xbox Live Gold game lineup.

Fans ofJurassic ParkandJurassic Worldhave been hoping for a great game in the series maybe since the 8-bit and 16-bit era, asJurassic Parkon the Sega genesis was perhaps the last fantastic Dinosaur gamewith Jurassic in the title, for those who aren’t fans of the strategy genre.

There is also hope thatJurassic Park Aftermathis the canceled survival gamethat players always wanted. Apparently there was a project in the works that was scrapped in 2016, but it could be brought back to life with a new name by Universal Studios.

The canceledJurassic Worldgame was being developed by Cryptic Studios Seattle and being worked on in Unreal Engine 4. It may have had MMO elements, as the developer was known for MMO titles. Whether or not this newJurassic Park Aftermathgame will continue on with the goals and aspirations of the canceledJurassic Worldgame is yet to be determined, but it is very exciting to know that a brand newJurassic Worldgame is in the works.
