As Sheldon’s older brother Georgie and his love interest Mandy were still happily married inYoung Sheldon’s finale, this follow-up follows the couple’s married life, albeit with involvement from the remaing Texas-based Coopers.
In an interview withTVLine, executive producer Steve Holland confirmed the show’s split focus between the Coopers and Georgie’s new family would continue in season 2, which includes the return of Zoe Perry’s Mary. Georgie’s mom was a recurring guest star in the show’s freshman year. However, sinceGeorgie & Mandy’s First Marriage’s season 1 endingproves the show is in no rush to cover the titular pair’s inevitable divorce, it can tackle other stories.
