Haley Joel Osment Guest Stars As A Serial Killer In Wednesday Season 2

In the first six minutes ofWednesdayseason 2, Wednesday Addams is shown tied up and gagged at a dinner table, in a dark basement surrounded by porcelain dolls. She reveals that she’s being held captive by “America’s most elusive serial killer,” the Kansas City Scalper, whom Wednesday has been hoping to find for years.

Portrayed by Haley Joel Osment in a special cameo role, the serial killer named Chet is shown to outwardly portray himself as a normal citizen with a dog-grooming business, but has a house full of weapons and porcelain dolls that he creates to look like his victims. He shows Wednesday the doll he had made of her before he is attacked by Thing and presumably killed by Wednesday.

While he only made a brief appearance,Haley Joel Osment’s performance as the Kansas City Scalper perfectly showcases his ability to portray a sadistic and deceitful individual with a strong passion for murder. His character’s twisted personality will make you wish he were a more prominentcharacter in Wednesday season 2, but the Scalper ultimately proves no match for Wednesday and Thing.

Through his previous success in the horror genre, Osment brought the right sense of fear and excitement through his brief but memorable appearanceas the Kansas City Scalper. Interestingly, Osment’sWednesdayappearance takes place right after he was featured inthe cast ofHappy Gilmore 2. Osment plays Billy Jenkins, a pro-golfer who is a member of Maxi Golf, an up-and-coming golf league.

InHappy Gilmore 2, Billy is shown to have golf skills that are at the same level as Happy, as shown when he beats Happy during the Tour Championship. Jenkins taunts Happy about his skills on the golf course, notably saying, “It’s all in the hips,” a quote from the original movie spoken by Happy’s first mentor, Chubbs Peterson.

Haley Joel Osment proved to be the right actor for the role of Billy Jenkins, in large part due to his real-life experience participating in golf tournaments, according toEntertainment Weekly. WhileHappy Gilmore 2is breaking Netflix viewership records,Wednesdayseason 2 is expected to make a big splash after the show’s long-awaited return.
