Mike McMahan:Boo, yeah, boo. The final season for now. We love you Hulu!

ScreenRant:But I mean, whose decision was that? What’s happening? What’s going on? Why?

Official Poster for Solar Opposites Season 5

Mike McMahan:I mean, six seasons is kind of a miracle to get. We could keep making the show, and you’ll see that this season feels like this is our Fellowship of the Ring. It’s the end of the first book. We could keep going, but it’s a really satisfying ending. We’ve got this long-running story about these little people in a wall terrarium of one of the aliens that we do some awesome stuff this season with.

You’ve also been watching this alien couple, this alien family, evolve across the series to really fall in love and get married. And this season finally feels like they’re married, and that’s not a question anymore. I’m pointing to Thomas, because he’s obviously an alien who’s in love.

What This Means For Solar Opposites Season 6

The Show Will Wrap Things Up, But Leave Enough Questions To Keep Viewers Wanting More

McMahan’s comments reveal thatSolar Oppositesseason 6will look to wrap up the show in the most satisfactory way possible, while still leaving questions to keep viewers hungry for more. It sounds like it’s set to be a very promising season, and the factMcMahan believes they can end it in the right waybodes well for the conclusion.

Many shows are cancelled prematurely and wind up ending on cliffhangers, which can be hugely frustrating for both audiences and writers. However, becauseSolar Oppositesis confirmed to be ending with season 6, it means McMahan and the creative team can close the show out in the most organically satisfying way possible.

Our Take On Solar Opposites Ending After 6 Seasons

The Show Could Get A Reprieve On Another Platform

Solar Oppositeshas been one of the stronger and more intelligent animated sitcoms, and its quirky humor and fun premise mean it’s a show that will be missed. However, as McMahan says, it’s a big achievement to hit six seasons of a show, and the time has probably come to end it in the right way.

However, that doesn’t necessarily mean it is the permanent end to the show. Leaving Hulu is a guarantee, but there is nothing to say the show may not get picked up in the future by other platforms. Streaming is such a big industry now that there is a small chance thatSolar Oppositesmight get a stay of execution on another platform after it leaves Hulu.
