In the past few weeks sinceWolcen: Lords of Mayhem’s release, the game has quickly dominated Steam, reaching the #12 spot for most concurrent players at the time of this writing. However, the past few weeks haven’t been entirely pleasant for the new title as it has had to contend with accusations of beingDiablofiller, and a fairly low rating on Steam and Metacritic.
Some of the bigger issues thatWolcenhas been facing has been a slew of bugs and exploits that have been the source of player outrage since launch. While plenty of the bugs in the game have been in the players' favor, like theunlimited chest exploit, plenty of them have had an adverse impact on people’s experience with the game.

In response to these rising complaints forWolcen, the development team has made a post to the game’s official website that addresses a number of the more pressing issues that players have been having. Fortunately, the post also came alongside an announcement that each of the issues mentioned would be addressed in future patches 1.0.5.0 and 1.0.6.0, along with a number of other issues that weren’t included on the list. This will hopefully be better received than the previous patch thatfixed item duping, among other issues, that some players felt ignored some of the most detrimental bugs and glitches.
The full list of issues mentioned in the blog post include bugs like “Players can sometimes lose items in their personal chest” and “Some offline characters don’t appear in the character selection screen”, which are easily some of the most notable glitches. Additionally, the post mentions that there will be some balancing coming to the game, such as buffing Summoners to make them a more tantalizing pick for new players when looking for thebest class inWolcen. One of the biggest additions is a strange omission from the original release, but will be welcome when it arrives, and that would be the much needed crash report that could aid developers in how to start patching bugs in the future by better diagnosing the cause of the problems.
Considering how some of the first few patches to the game included more exploit fixes than bug fixes, some players have been fairly upset to see where the devs seem to focus their priorities. However, this latest news should hopefully encourage those who may have been turned off by the most recent patches, since the developers are clearly listening to the community, even if it’s coming a bit late. That being said, while the devs patch up these issues, the mod community is hard at workmoddingWolcen, so some fixes may begin coming from outside sources soon.
